CW downsizes, sheds comedy division

I’m sad to report that The CW network is laying off 25 to 30 people. They’re also eliminating their comedy division.
I am a big fan of a few shows on the CW, my guilty pleasures are Gossip Girl, Smallville and Supernatural….all which are reportedly safe, for now.
According to the Hollywood Reporter The CW did pick up “Gossip,” the eighth year of “Smallville,” the fourth season of “Supernatural,” the sixth season of “One Tree Hill,” a fourth round of “Everybody Hates Chris” and — for cycles 11 and 12 — “America’s Next Top Model.”
